Every website owner needs a hosting service for their website whether you are a blogger with a small website or a giant business like Amazon without a hosting service your website is not going to be seen without a host. Many bloggers will give you a number of hosting companies to chose from but I wanted to take each of them on a close up look at value.

What does HostGator Offer?

All the hosting companies that I have come across always give you that nice tiny dollar amount that they can host your website for making you think wow that is really a great deal but you should do your due diligence and dig to see what it covers.

HostGator does the same offering Powerful Web Hosting Services made easy and affordable starting at only $2.75 month! What a great deal right? But exactly what all does this include?

Just so you know this is an initial term rate discounted at 60% to get you started and that will be with most of the prices we are going to be quoting today.

Hatchling Plan is the HostGator plan for the $2.75 a month and it does include a free SSL certificate with this plan which is recognized by all the major search engines showing your site as secure it does not include a warranty level.

This type of plan is great for the small blogger for a single domain needing unmetered bandwidth and a free SSL starting out not a bad value.

Baby Plan is next in line at $3.95 a month which also includes a free SSL certificate but once again you do not get any type of warranty level with a free SSL certificate.

With the Baby Plan, you can have unlimited domains on an unmetered bandwidth making this plan best for someone with more than one blogging website.

Business Plan which is what HostGator lists as its recommendation is $5.95 a month (at the 60% discount rate), with this you have unlimited domains, unmetered bandwidth, an upgrade to the Positive SSL certificate which carries a 10K warranty, dedicated IP, and a limited amount of SEO tools.

All three of the above plans include 24/7/365 Support, Instant Backups, No Contract, 99.9% Uptime guarantee, Google Adwords, Bing, and Free/Instant Setup.

HostGator does support the WordPress website builder for hosting on their platform which is another important plus when considering them for hosting your website.

For website owners selling actual products from the website, they have osCommerce and ZenCart for you to install and use.

All the above hosting packages are on the shared web hosting platform.

Cloud Hosting at HostGator

Cloud Hosting from HostGator being 2X Faster and having 4X Resources comes in the above plans as well and the pricing is a bit higher too, but then again you are getting a few more resources to help you with your hosting needs.

These monthly prices are at 45% discount of the regular price listed below

• Baby Cloud $6.57 month (HostGator recommended)

HostGator Would I Recommend?

I do feel that HostGator is one of the best hosting platforms available that you can find they offer more than most of the other hosting platforms that are advertised today.

Drawbacks of using although they offer a free website builder with many choices of themes to chose from unless you are experienced with building a website and know all the ins and outs for building a website this is not of any value to a new person just beginning in the online world.

Knowing how to properly build a website is the key to one’s success for any business on the internet today. SEO (search engine optimization) and being familiar with all the terms used in the online world is a benefit to all new online beginning entrepreneurs.

For those who have the experience or already own their own website then I can comfortably recommend HostGator when looking for a hosting platform for your online business. I feel that they will have a package to meet your needs at a price that is competitive with the better companies and what they are offering today.
